about Michele

I’m a contemporary American-born abstract artist based in Melbourne, Australia. For over 11 years, I’ve built and sold original painting collections grounded in colour, form, and sculptural minimalism.

My work has been exhibited in Australia, acquired by private collectors locally and internationally, and developed through an evolving studio practice focused on clarity, restraint, and depth.

I didn’t step away from the studio to teach artists.

Everything I teach was built inside it.

Early in my painting career, I made everything.

Abstract experiments. Colour exploration. Texture studies. I was all over the place. I tried materials most people wouldn't touch. And for a long time, I thought that's what being an artist meant - constant exploration with technique.

But here's what I actually learned: strong work doesn't come from chasing trends or clever marketing or technique. It comes from structural clarity in your studio, the kind that reveals your unique point of view.

As my collections developed and I began selling consistently, I began to see the difference between art that connects to me and the collector and art that doesn't. That shift changed everything for me.

After selling multiple collections I started noticing something in other artists.

It wasn't a skill problem.

Talented people are everywhere - technically capable, committed, making beautiful work.

The struggle was positioning.

They were creating, but it wasn't anchored to a clear point of view that highlighted their uniqueness. They were posting on Instagram - but not being seen. Trying to market - without knowing what actually made their work distinct.

I kept hearing the same question:

"How do I find my unique positioning?

How do I find my unique voice?"

And here's the truth: the answer isn't more marketing. It's clarity in the work itself through a thoughtful process that reveals this point of view.

Everything I teach comes from lived practice - not theory.

I created the Unmistakably Yours program because I saw what artists actually need - and it's not more tactics.

You need a process that reveals clarity.

Clarity about:

✔️ how you see - that makes you unique

✔️ What you're actually building

✔️ How your work is being perceived

✔️ Where your visual language is inconsistent or missing

✔️ What genuinely makes your work distinct

That clarity creates positioning. And positioning creates momentum.

If you're here, you're not a beginner.

You're capable. You care deeply about the work. And you want it to land at the level you know it can.

You don't need more hustle. You need clarity - and then everything else gets easier.

Great to see you here!
You can sell almost anything!" Sounds too good to be true, right? But it is true. Over the last 25 years, I've worked on thousands of sellable products, and I can confidently say that almost anything can be sold to the right audience. It's not about chasing trends on social media or in magazines and morphing yourself to please others. It's about being uniquely YOU and attracting the right audience. That's the sweet spot: the connection between YOU and the collector who loves your work as much as you do.

My journey wasn't just about finding the right audience; it was about figuring out what I really wanted to create (and still create). Something more than just 'sellable art'—I wanted my work to reflect my own soul and passion, art that feels like me. Art that is truly satisfying for me – and worthy of selling!

Struggling to complete your artwork? Wondering how you'll ever get to the point of selling?

I get it – you're not alone. I faced that and many artists face this challenge. It's often rooted in a lack of confidence or clarity about our work's direction. My approach helps break through these barriers by providing structure, encouragement, and clear strategies to not only complete your artworks but to do so in a way that aligns with your unique voice and vision. To get past what's stopping them, making the studio a place where you love to work and finish pieces – to make work you really care about. This is the first step towards selling your art in a way that feels right — not just for the sake of selling, but because it’s deeply fulfilling to share art that truly feels like YOU with people who get it.

Teaching you to sell art is one thing; guiding you to sell your true self is another. That’s rare and that's the journey I've been on — away from the noise and celebrating uniqueness. It's not the easiest path, but it's incredibly rewarding, leading away from becoming a production house of sameness, and chasing your tail with trends.

With over 25 years of navigating this path, I've learned some invaluable lessons about the importance of staying true to our creative essence. I'm here to pass those lessons on to you, helping you find and express your own unique voice in a way that connects deeply with those who will love it most.

We're all on a unique artistic journey, and while there's no one-size-fits-all formula for success, by staying true to our authentic selves, we can set trends and attract an audience that resonates with our vision. True longevity in art doesn't come from merely ‘following’ trends, but from setting trends through our authentic expressions. We explore what's next because we love the exploration of the art, and the money follows naturally. The audience is drawn to you; you aren’t chasing them. You’re interested in it enough that they also become interested in it. Make work you actually care about deeply! Others will too.

Why am I so confident about this?

I've built a solid foundation spanning over 25 years and gained hands-on experience in painting, design, product creation, trend, and colour forecasting – all of which have become fertile ground for my artistic journey. My successes are no accident. I've learned that excelling in ART requires boldness and self-trust. To tap into our authentic essence and use it as our superpower.

By combining everything I’ve learned, from earning a Fine Art degree to thriving at iconic brands like Nike, and flourishing as an entrepreneur, creative, and painter, I've uncovered lots of clues to success (by failing along the way).

And selling your soul? Definitely not required.

Now, alongside creating my own art, I focus on helping other artists make work that is uniquely them. Why? Because I am so grateful for mentors who changed my trajectory and want to pay it forward. Through my framework and artist membership, I empower artists to find and express their unique voice, guiding them from inspiration to creation and attracting collectors who love it as much as they do.

As the host of the 'Sellable Art - That Feels Like Me' Podcast and co-host of the Artist Podcast - 'Unearthing Art' , I am dedicated to contributing to the art community, sharing insights, and nurturing a space where artists can grow and embrace their authenticity.

Hope to see you around,
